Fikry Isaac
MD, MPH, FACOEM
Dr. Isaac was most recently Vice President of Global Health Services for Johnson & Johnson, in New Brunswick, New Jersey. In his role, Dr. Isaac directed the development of health and wellness strategies, policies, guidelines, and services worldwide (Occupational Medicine, Employee Assistance Program and Wellness). Dr. Isaac was also the Chief Medical Officer for Johnson & Johnson’s Health and Wellness Solutions – a company offering comprehensive wellness solutions for employers, health plans, and other organizations.
Dr. Isaac is a pioneer in the field of workplace health promotion and global health, and has introduced innovative approaches to improve the health and well-being of populations. He is a published author in this field and continues to research population health interventions, using rigorous scientific methods to ensure that these interventions deliver meaningful outcomes. His broad view spans the fields of clinical medicine, behavior change technologies, and economic analyses. Dr. Isaac is an outspoken champion of prevention and health promotion and achieved remarkable success within Johnson & Johnson – gaining senior management support and funding for health improvement initiatives for all Johnson & Johnson employees worldwide.
In addition to developing and implementing programs that have led to significant risk reduction in the employee population and resulted in proven savings to Johnson & Johnson, Dr. Isaac has taken important leadership positions in the public policy arena among employer groups and government officials. During the discussion of healthcare reform in the U.S., Dr. Isaac was invited to meet with officials of the Office of Personnel Management and the White House to provide input to a pilot program for health and wellness in the federal workforce. Through his engagement with the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) and Life Science Innovation Forum (LSIF), he was instrumental in the development of an action plan addressing non-communicable disease for member countries. Dr. Isaac received his medical degree from Ain Shams University Medical School (Cairo, Egypt), certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in 1991, and earned a master of public health degree in Occupational Medicine from the Medical College of Wisconsin in 2001. He is a fellow of ACOEM, where he chairs the Corporate Health Achievement Award. Dr. Isaac was a member of the Gold Standard Task Force – CEO Roundtable on Cancer, and was the industry Co-chair of the Life Science and Innovation Forum - APEC. He served on several boards including the Partnership for Prevention, the Global Business Group on Health, and the Health Enhancement Research Organization (HERO). Most recently, he serves as the Chief Medical Officer, Tiatros Inc, and provide health advising to Enterprise Health and The Employer Health Innovation Round Table .
Dr Isaac was the 2013 recipient of the Global Leadership in Corporate Health Award, recognizing his career as a proponent of workplace health and wellness for Johnson & Johnson. The award is sponsored by the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine (ACOEM) and the National Business Group on Health. He was also the recipient of the 2013 Donald H. Gemson Cancer Prevention and Public Policy Award from the American Cancer Society and the 2013 U.S. Chamber of Commerce's Leadership in Health Care Award. In 2016, he received The Global Wellness Institute Leader in Workplace Wellness Award. In 2019, he was the recipient of the Health Enhancement Research Organization Health and Well-being award
